A land of stunning landscapes and diversity, Peru literally takes your breath away.
In addition to seeing Machu Picchu, the lost city of the Incas and Lake Titicaca, the highest lake in the world, you'll find snow capped mountains, vast deserts, the mysterious Nazca Lines, long stretches of natural beaches and tropical jungle.
Peru is a unique and fascinating place and is bound to magnetize you.

#Takanakuy or 'when the blood is boiling' in the #Quechua dialect, is an annual #festival that gives people the chance to solve personal differences, the old fashioned way, in front of all the community. The tradition, which takes place every #Christmas day, is about family honor and is seen as a way to deal with problems before the #NewYear and to also prevent fights during the year. Fighters are not allowed to hit their opponents while they’re down and all fights begin and end with a hug.

#TTD-Peru : Don't miss out on a visit to #Huacachina in the #Ica Region. Called the #oasis of America, Huacachina is built around a small natural #lake in the #desert with #sand #dunes that stretch several hundred feet high. Located about 5 hours south of #Lima , it's a great place for #sandboarding and taking white-knuckle #buggy rides on sand dunes. Image: elrentaplats (Flickr)

The food! From coastal seafood, including citric refreshing ceviche to hot peppers from the jungle to Papas a la Huancaina (potatoes with a spicy cheese sauce) from the Andes, there is something for every palate. See http://www.artperucuisine.com/index.html
