Mabuhay ... Welcome

With over 7,000 islands, the Philippines is the second largest archipelago in the world and an island-hoppers' paradise.

It's known for some of the best diving in the world and visitors can choose to either sunbathe, surf, scuba dive or snorkel.

The year round tropical weather, the magical sunsets and the exceptionally friendly and accommodating Filipinos make this an appealing country to visit.

Dos Palmas Island Resort and Spa is located on a private island in Honda Bay, northeast of Puerto Princesa, the capital of Palawan. Daily direct flights from Manila to Puerto Princesa are available, and the resort's air-conditioned bus will bring guests from the airport to Sta. Lourdes Wharf, and a ferry wraps up the journey to this remote location. Dos Palmas offers a choice of the Bay Cottage located in the shallow waters or the Beach Villa on the sand. Accommodations are equipped with basic modern amenities, such as air-conditioning and IDD telephone, but only few feature cable television and Internet access. There are numerous water activities available at the resort for those seeking an adventure, while the spa is the perfect place for a little rest and relaxation.

The Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park is located about 50 km north of the city of Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines. It features a limestone karst mountain landscape with an 8.2 km. navigable underground river. A distinguishing feature of the river is that it winds through a cave before flowing directly into the South China Sea. It includes major formations of stalactites and stalagmites, and several large chambers. The lower portion of the river is subject to tidal influences. The underground river is reputed to be the world's longest. At the mouth of the cave, a clear lagoon is framed by ancient trees growing right to the water's edge. Monkeys, large monitor lizards, and squirrels find their niche on the beach near the cave.
