This event which brings together professional artists and amateurs reflects the cultural and ethnic diversity of the city.

The peak of the festivity is the street parade with around 4700 participants from 80 nations on Whitsunday.

The Aquadom is the largest acrylic cylindrical aquarium in the world and contains over 1,500 fish of 50 species.

The complex also contains a hotel, offices, a restaurant, and the aquarium Sea Life Centre.

It bridges the #River #Elbe to connect two important German #shipping canals; the Elbe-Havel #Canal and the Midland Canal. Prior to the bridge being built, ships moving between the two had to make a 12-kilometre (7.5 mi) detour.
