A #spectacular #bridge to see is the #Millau #Viaduct in southern France. It is the tallest bridge in the world and one of the most impressive modern civil engineering feats.

Slightly taller than the Eiffel Tower in Paris, it is best viewed from the official visitor centre, located in the small village of #Cazalous or from the service area on the northern side of the bridge, between exits 45 and 46.

Don't forget to see the #Marqueyssac #chateau and #gardens located in #Vézac in the #Dordogne region roughly half-way between the #Bourdeaux and #Rhone #wine regions. #PTS-France .

This 17th century #castle was built by Bertrand Vernet de Marqueyssac overlooking the picturesque Dordogne Valley.

In the 1860s, a new owner planted thousands of boxwood trees, carved them into fantastic shapes and built rustic structures. Open to the public, its certainly worth a visit.

#PTS-France : #Chateau de #Versailles or the #Palace of Versailles just outside #Paris was the official residence of the French #Kings from 1682 until 1790.

This #museum and #UNESCO #World #Heritage Site has beautiful manicured #gardens landscaped in the classic French style complete with #sculptures and #fountains .

There is a lot to see, so consider taking the mini-train to get an overview of the entire grounds, which include his and her palaces.

Make sure you see the magnificent #Hall of #Mirrors (Galerie des Glaces) of this #museum and #UNESCO #World #Heritage Site which has three hundred and fifty-seven mirrors.

Some history ... the Peace #Treaty that brought the First World War officially to an end between @Germany and the Allies was signed here.

#PTS-France : A great place to see in #Normandy is #Mont #Saint-Michel #island and its #spectacular and well-preserved #medieval #Benedictine #Abbey and steepled #church .

This #UNESCO #World #Heritage Site and #landmark, which is almost separated from the mainland at high tide, has narrow charming streets, steps to the roof and breathtaking views of the #Bay .

Ps. Due to quicksand and high tides, #visitors should not attempt crossing the causeway without a guide.
