Located in #Akan #National #Park , the lake s surrounded by steep crater walls and has been called the clearest lake in the world.

#PTS-Japan : The #Sagano #Bamboo #forest in #Arashiyama near #Kyoto is a beautiful and peaceful place.

Those into walking or bike #rides will enjoy these paths especially when the tall bamboo stalks sway gently back and forth and make a sound in the light wind.

This #landmark is one of Japan's most famous #icons and because it is hollow, visitors can view the interior.

Something different ... the #KoreNoSuizokukan frozen #ice #aquarium in #Kesennuma in #Miyagi Prefecture features specimens of #marine #wildlife embedded in blocks of ice.

They are preserved in lifelike poses to look like they are swimming inside

#Nagoya #Castle is a famous #Edo period castle renowned for its #shachihoko - golden orcas that adorn the roof of its #tower .

The #Meijo-koen #Park around the castle also has flowers that bloom in the different seasons.

The central castle building with #gold leaf on the exterior, is five stories on the outside and eight stories on the inside and has been restored extensively.
