#PTS-Accra : In suburbs of #Accra like #Teshie , eye-catching coffins are made. These #coffins are often designed to represent the life of the individual who has died ... for example, a taxi driver may be buried in coffin designed as a car; a pilot in a plane.

The way in which you are buried is extremely important in Ghana since #funerals are often celebrated like #weddings ... they are an occasion for both mourning, dancing and family get together.

#PTS-Ghana : #Lake #Bosomtwe & the #Okomfo #Anokye #sword site in #Kumasi in the #Ashanti Region.

The lake was formed by a #meteorite and is very sacred to Ashanti's. Enjoy boat rides, swimming and hiking.

The 'unmoveable' sword of the Okomfo remains where he pushed it into the ground 300 years ago ... despite numerous attempts to remove it. The sword marks the spot where the #Golden #stool descended from the sky and legend has it that the state would collapse should it be pulled out.
