#Aesop's #Fable : The farmer and his sons.

The old farmer is dying and wants to teach his #lazy sons a lesson.

He wishes to instill in them the virtue of hard work and thus thinks of a clever idea for them to work on the farm without them actually thinking of it as work.

#Aesop's #Fable : The Oak and The Reeds

It is surprising to find that despite a violent storm, the reeds along the bank of a river were still standing, while the presumably rigid oak was uprooted.

The story tells us that it is important to realize your weaknesses in order to improve upon your faults.

#Aesop's #Fable : The Lion and The Mouse

A "Friend in need is a #friend indeed" best describes the story of 'The lion and the mouse'.

Without regards for size or might, the unlikely alliance of the king of the jungle and the diminutive rodent teaches us that a real friend is one who is there when you need him the most.

#Aesop's #Fable : The Wolf and the Crane

The good crane takes pity on the anguished wolf who is in trouble but the ungrateful wolf denies the crane his well-deserved reward and spurns the crane after he is saved.

The moral of this story is simple; never trust a scoundrel and it is foolhardy to believe that a villain will ever reward you for a job well done.
